Nokia has launched "Nokia-Asha 302 and 202 dual SIM Phones,
they are designed to offer a richer consumer experience with the best access to
music services, internet, social networks and greater functionalities at
affordable prices.
The phones have a traditional keypad along
with a 2.4-inch touch screen. Other key features of the phone include 2.0
megapixel camera, music player, FM radio, Nokia Browser, and Bluetooth
connectivity, and expandable memory of up to 32GB. Priced at Rs. 4,149, Nokia
202 will come with free 100 MB of data per month for six months from Aircel,
Airtel, Reliance, Tata Docomo and Vodafone telecom operators. Nokia Asha 302,
on the other hand, is a full QWERTY handset. It runs on 1GHz processor,
supports USB-on-the-Go and has a 3.2 MP camera with 4x digital zoom. This
handset comes with a price tag of Rs. 6,919.
Releasing the new devices, Ravi Kunwar, the
Manager-North of Nokia India, said, "We understand that our consumers
today are young, hyper-social and aspirational. They want the smartest phones
that allow them to browse, download apps and experience newer and better services.
The Nokia Asha range of smartphones is setting a milestone in internet and data
consumption with 1.1 million downloads from the Nokia Store on Series 40 within
the first 6 weeks of their launch. The latest devices are equipped with our
innovations that are driving this success like Nokia Music Unlimited, Nokia
Browser, Nokia Maps, social networking features such as Facebook and Twitter
integration and pre-loaded applications such as WhatsApp, Angry Birds and Zenga
TV and free EA games."
Nokia has also announced the availability
of Nokia 110. Company claims that 110 is the most affordable phone to offer
internet access. It has been priced at Rs. 2,489.
